Lok Satta seeks debate on regularisation of illegal structures
Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) The Lok Satta party today sought a debate in the Andhra Pradesh Legislatures on Government Orders 112 and 113, regularising ''illegal constructions and unauthorised layouts.'' In a release here, state Working Committee member Lakshman Balaji said the party, in a memorandum to the leaders of all the Opposition parties, had pointed out that the GOs sought to ''punish'' owners of flats and plots for the ''wrongs'' committed by builders and layout developers.
The party demanded that the proposed penalties be collected from the guilty and not owners.
Mr Balaji said the party had also demanded approvals to all those who had applied for regularisation under the 1998 Scheme.
The memorandum was presented to TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu, CPI(M) floor leader in Assembly Nomula Narsimhaiah, CPI floor leader in Assembly Ch Venkata Reddy, BJP's Dorababu, AIMIM's Akbaruddin Owaisi and lone Janata Party member Komireddy Ramulu.
