Inter-city Express hits tractor, injures one

Samastipur, Mar 13 (UNI) The Danapur-bound Intercity Express from Darbhanga today collided with a tractor on an unmanned level crossing near Kishanpur station here today, injuring one person.

Official sources said the accident occurred when the tractor, trying to cross the level crossing, was hit by the Express train at around 1800 hours, severely injuring the tractor driver, He was admitted to a local hospital in a serious condition.

As a result, train services on Samastipur-Dabhanga division of East Central Railway were disrupted for nearly two hours before they were resumed at around 2000 hours, the sources informed.
