Independent MLA from Ghaziabad joins BSP

Lucknow, Mar 13: Rajpal Tyagi,an independent legislator from Muradnagar in Ghaziabad district, today joined Bahujan Samaj Party after resigning from the state assmebly.

BSP state president Swami Prasad Maurya accepted him in the party fold in the presence of assmebly speaker Sukhdev Rajbhar who also accepted his resignation from the House.

Tyagi was minister in the previous Samajwadi Party government and had contested the assembly poll on an independent ticket.

He had to resign from the membership because as per rules an independent MLA could not join any party.
