Highly decomposed body washed ashore

Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu, Mar 13 (UNI) The unidentified body of a youth washed ashore at Manthoppu Seashore near Thangachimadam Coastal Hamlet, here today.

Police said the nude body of a boy, in a highly decomposed state, was yet to identified.

It was not known whether he was a Sea Tiger, the naval wing of the LTTE or a Sri Lankan Tamil refugee. Further investigations were on, police added.

Three bodies, in a highly decomposed state,washed ashore here during January last after a fierce battle between the Sri Lankan Navy and Sea Tigers.
