Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) The Opposition Telugu Desam Party (TDP) President N Chandrababu Naidu today alleged that Andhra Pradesh Government was not committed to discussing various problems of the people in the Assembly.

Addressing a press conference here after the suspension of TDP members from the House for the day for stalling the proceedings, he said the state government had failed to run the House in a Democratic way.

He alleged that Chief Minister Y S Rajasekhara Reddy was insulting the Opposition with his statements, instead of replying to the issues raised by them.

Mr Naidu charged that the state government's main intention was either to adjourn the House or suspend the Opposition members.

He also alleged that the government had given permission to a benami company to extract bauxite at a Girijan area in Paderu in Visakhapatnam district against the recommendations of the Tribal Advisory Council.

He demanded the state government to stop mining of bauxite in the area against the wishes of the Girijans, who were protesting against the mining in their areas.
