Fishermen to get govt aid: CM

Mumbai, Mar 13 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh today said that the government will provide financial assistance to fishermen from five districts of Konkan including the metropolis.

Intervening the statement on the calling attention notice given by Uday Samant (NCP) and others, Mr Deshmukh said that the government was aware of the problems of the fishermen.

The notice was about the problems being faced by the fishermen in the Konkan area and the aid being given to them.
