Maharashrta: Dindori accident toll rises to 12

Nahsik, Mar 13: The death toll in the tractor accident case in Dindori taluka of the district has gone up to 12 as one of the injured succumbed to her injuries.

Bheemabai Surkar (40), resident of Singalchond in Surgana Taluka, succumbed to her injuries at the District Civil Hospital yesterday. The deceased's body has been handed over to her kin.

It may be recalled that on March 11 a tractor-trolly fell into a well at Sonjamb village in Dindori Taluka of the district.

There were 14 people in the tractor-trolly. All of them were labourers from Singalchond village in Surgana taluka of the district. They had come to earn their livelihood here.

Meanwhile, a case of cupable homicide has been registered against the driver of the tractor, Namdev Surkar (15).
