Decision to set up Security Commission, Police Est Board

Lucknow, Mar 13 (UNI) Uttar Pradesh government has decided to constitute State Security Commission and Police Establishment Board to increase the working efficiency of police personnel.

Chief Minister Mayawati will be the chairperson of the State Security Commission, while UP DGP Vikram Singh will be its member secretary.

The information was given by Principal Secretary (home) J N Chamber here this evening.

''The Commission will recommend ways to improve the efficiency of the working policemen to make them more responsible towards their duties, while Police Establishment Board will deal with their transfers,'' Mr Chamber informed.

He said their functioning would be tabled annually in the state legislature.
