Country bombs seized in Kannur
Kannur, Kerala, Mar 13 (UNI) The police today seized country-made bombs and swords from Kunduchirabund in Moozhikara in this trouble-torn district of Kerala.
The bombs and swords which were concealed in a plastic bucket in a burrow, were seized during raids, police said.
Prohibitory order in the area was revoked yesterday and no untoward incident was reported.
However, a large posse of police force was deployed in Thalassery.
The seizure in this politically-sensitive district comes in the wake of as many as seven political murders and clashes between the CPI(M) and BJP/RSS activists, last week. The Kannur violence had national repercussions when alleged RSS activists went on the rampage at the CPI(M) headquarters in New Delhi.
