Case against naxals in Chhattisgarh

Ambikapur, Chhattisgarh, Mar 13 (UNI) A case has been registered under the Indian Penal Code's Section 309 against naxal inmates who were on hunger strike for the past four days at the Central Jail here.

''The inmates ended their strike after a five-hour-long discussion with the police and administration,'' Additional Superintendent of Police Balaji Rao said today.

The strike began in protest against 17 rebels being shifted from here to the Central Jail, Bilaspur.
