BJP worker injured in renewed violence

Kannur, Mar 13 (UNI) A BJP worker was injured in an alleged attack by CPI(M) activists at Puthur under Kolavallur this morning, even as the state government decided to call an All Party meeting.

Babu (25), who was injured in the attack, was admited to the Panur community health centre, the police said.

Meanwhile, BJP/RSS activists assembled in Thoovkunnu and forcibily closed downs the shops in that area.

A police force was camping in that area. Last week, a CPI(M) worker was killed in this area.
