American organisation to support in health sector in Bihar:Nitish

Patna, Mar 13 (UNI) Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar today said an American organisation would provide technical support to hospitals through ''tele-conferencing'', across the state for better treatment of the patients.

After a meeting with a delegation of the United Health Group of America, a US-based organisation, Mr Kumar said a pilot project would be initially launched by the American organisation in Patna, while the state government would provide all assistance in running it.

''If the pilot project in Patna yields good result, it would be extended to other districts of the state in coming days,'' he said adding the number of patients seeking treatment in government hospitals had increased manifold during the past two years due to improvement in health care facilties there.
