Airport strike called off

Hyderabad, Mar 13 (UNI) The strike by the Airports Authority of India (AAI) employees, against the proposed closure of airports here and in Bangalore after the opening of Greenfield airports, was called off today.

AAI Director R K Singla told UNI that the striking employees would join duty any time since the strike was called off, following an agreement reached between the union representatives and the Civil Aviation Ministry.

However, the strike did not affect flight operations at the Begumpet airport.
