About 380 CITU activists arrested

Tiruchirapalli, Mar 13 (UNI) About 380 volunteers of the CITU, including 80 women, were arrested when they attempted to resort to a road roko agitation at the busy Chinthamani City Bus Terminal here today.

CITU District President V V Krishnamurthy, who led the road roko, said the agitaion was against the state government's move to bring the Unorganised Workers Welfare Board, which fell under the Labour Welfare Department, under the purview of the Revenue Department.
