UN chief Ban Ki-moon condemns Lahore twin blasts
United Nations, Mar 12: UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon has condemned the twin blasts in Lahore, Pakistan, that killed 30 people and injured scores of others.
Condemning the indiscriminate acts of terrorism, he in a statement issued here yesterday, voiced shock and sadness. He also expressed condolences to the families of the victims. The secretary-general was concerned over the increasing number of terrorist attacks in the past few months in Pakistan, the statement added. He, however, welcomed the resolve of the country's government and its people ''to unite against the scourge of terrorism.''
