Kochi, Mar 12 (UNI) To tap the growing three-wheeler market in Kerala, Mahindra &Mahindra Limited (M &M) launched its three-wheeler-'Alfa Passenger'- here today.

Talking to reporters, M&M Marketing DGM Hyder Khan said '' the new diesel vehicle is designed after extensive customer feedback and it ensures comfortable ride for both the passenger and the driver.'' He said the CNG version would be launched in the first quarter of the next fiscal.

''With an annual sales of 2.2 lakh vehilces, the three-wheeler passenger segment is expected to grow further on account of increasing transportation needs,'' Mr Khan said.

While the diesel version contributed around 62 per cent in total three-wheeler sales, petrol was 22 per cent and gas (LPG&CNG) 16 per cent, he added.
