Indian accused of raping mentally ill woman

Dubai, Mar 12 (UNI) An Indian dyer was charged with the abuse and rape of a mentally-ill woman here.

An Indonesian housemaid is accused of aiding and abetting the dyer.

In her testimony to the Public Prosecution, the 26-year-old woman said yesterday the man had raped her several times and the housemaid was aware of his actions, the Gulf News reported.

Medical reports confirmed that the woman has been mentally ill since childhood.

Both the accused have pleaded not guilty to the charges.
