Goa pays tribute to its first Chief Minister
Panaji, Mar 12 (UNI) Chief Minister Digambar Kamat today led Goa in paying rich tributes to the first chief minister of the state, late D B Bandodkar, on occasion of the latter's birth anniversary.
Mr Kamat paid floral tributes at the memorial of the late leader at Miramar and garlanded the statue near the old secretariat complex.
Prominent among others, who paid homage to the late leader, include his daughter and former Chief Minister Shashikala Kakodkar, several ministers and legislators, besides bureaucrats.
Home Minister Ravi Naik garlanded the bust of the late leader at Farmagudi near Ponda.
