Gauri-Nainika's show brings in curve celebrating styles

New Delhi, Mar 12 (UNI) Actress Amisha Patel was present at the first day of the WIFW to attend Namrata Joshipura and Gauri and Nainika's show.

As soon as the actress entered the venue, the media surrounded her and she was more than happy to please them all with sound bytes and photo-ops.

Amisha, who was dressed in an orange knee-length frock said, ''I do not have any specific designer and I wear what I like''.

Amisha expressed happiness at being in Delhi. ''I like Delhi. It is, as always, pleasing.'' Meanwhile, Namrata Joshipura's show 'Modernne Love' (Bursts of Joy) was a collection of luxurious fabrics such as satin, wool and supple leather combined with detailed embellishments.

Gauri and Nainika's show was much-awaited for. While the designs generated much interest in everybody, the special appearance by Bipasha Basu was, what kept everybody waiting.

Bipasha made the appearance in a black and pink gown.

In all, Gauri-Nainika's show was a return to curve celebrating, body-con styles with a lot of satin, tulle and lace.

Their idea was to create Paris dresses, which make women feel and look different in colours spanning a rich palette of acid green, magenta, blood-red and blush-pink, and classic black and white.
