Four nabbed with PTU blank answersheets, stamps

Jalandhar, Mar 12 (UNI) Punjab Police today arrested four daily wagers working as peons in the examination branch of the Punjab Technical University (PTU) with blank answersheets and stamps here.

Anti-fraud Cell incharge Sub Inspector Manjeet Singh said that four Class IV employees identified as Gurmeet Singh, Nachhattar Singh, Palwinder Singh and Jitender Singh were nabbed with blank answersheets and stamps of the university.

He said the four used to change the original answersheets of the students with a duplicate one after taking money from students.

A case under sections 420, 467, 471 and 120B of the IPC was registered against the accused and further investigations were on, he added.
