Withdraw solvency certificate condition: IMFL merchants

Puducherry, Mar 11 (UNI) The Puducherry Indian Made Foreign Liquor (IMFL) Merchants Association today urged the administration to take immediate steps to withdraw the condition that a solvency certificate for Rs five lakh be presented for renewal of licence.

A resolution to this effect was adopted at the executive committee meeting of the Association here.

Another resolution urged the Excise department to refrain from collecting huge amounts as penalty in the name of raids.
