UK Assembly Question Hour lasts for 5 min
Dehra Dun, Mar 11 (UNI) The Question Hour in the Uttarakhand Assembly lasted five minutes today due to the absence of legislators posing their questions to the Speaker.
As the House assembled around 1100 hrs, Speaker Harbans Kapur read out a notice (hindi transcript reads out: ek suchna padne ke baad prashankal shuru kiya) and then initiated the Question Hour.
However, boycotting Opposition Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party legislators were absent from the House.
Some BJP and UKD MLAs who were supposed to ask questions were also absent due to which only two questions were asked.
After the Health Minister's reply to the two questions, the Question Hour, which normally takes place for one hour and 20 minutes, was winded up in five minutes.
