Timberlake calls ex-flame Spears - a 'Madonna wannabe'

Washington, Mar 11 : Justin Timberlake took a jab at former flame Britney Spears, after he branded her a 'Madonna' wannabe.

While backstage at the 23rd Annual Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony at the Waldorf Astoria on March 10, 2008 in New York City, Timberlake poked fun at the 'Toxic' singer when introducing Madonna at the event.

"She has still found time to kiss someone I may or may not have publicly kissed myself while I was in the audience" Us magazine quoted Timberlake, as saying of Madonna.

"Of course you know I was talking about Sean Penn," he added.

Timberlake punctuated his remarks with, "The world has always been full of Madonna wannabes and I might have even dated a couple."

Madonna was inducted into Hall of Fame at a dinner at the Waldorf Astoria Hotel in New York.
