'Tata Green Batteries' comprehensive range a new milestone
Chennai, Mar 11 (UNI) 'TATA Green Batteries', the flagship brand of Tata AutoComp GY Batteries (TGY) today announced the acomplishment of a milestone of becoming the only battery manufacturer to introduce a comprehensive range of automotive and inverter batteries within one year of its launch.
Since the launch of their batteries for four wheelers in February, 2007, TGY has introduced 23 batteries in automotive and inverter battery segments across passenger cars, Marketing head Rajeev Malik told newspersons here.
"The company has established a robust channel network of 17 CFA's, 600 dealers, 3100 sub-dealers, 155 distributers and 55 franchises across the country in a short span of time and has outlayed further expansion of its reach to 5,000 retailers by end of the year", he added.
Mr Rajeev said besides superior Japanese technology, Tata Green batteries were also backed by a robust customer service operation.
"Today, we would like to announce that Tata Green has surpassed its targets in the higly competitive battery market and we will continue our eforts of providing the best in battery solutions", he added.
He said with the introduction of inverter batteries, Tata Green would now address the anguish faced by houseolds and small enterprise consumers, due to erratic and interrupted power supply throughout the country.
"The Tata Green inverter batteries will be available in two variants such as 135 AH and 150 AH, competitively priced at Rs 9,478 and Rs 10,280, respectively", he said.
Company sales head Jasbir Mata said the state-of-the-art technology used in the Tata Green Batteries enhances the battery life as the distinctive design minimises water loss and cuts down battery water evoporation, eliminating te need to top-up water up to 1,00,000 kms, a first amongst Indian batteries.
"The Calcium technology also reduces self-discharge, increases shortage time and provides the best protection from acid spillage and sparks", he said adding "this ensures high starting power even in extreme ambient temperatures of below 18 degree C to 75 degree C.
