Silver down, gold up on bullish advice

Mumbai, Mar 11: A mixed trend was observed in the precious metals today as Silver further fell by Rs 170 per kg on poor buying support while Gold recovered by Rs 5 per ten gm, in the opening session of trading in the bullion market here.

Following were the opening rates of spot silver and gold in the Bombay Bullion market: Silver (per kg) 999 fineness grade : Rs 24,430 Gold (per 10 gm) Gold 99.5 purity standard mint : Rs 12,745 Gold 99.9 purity pure gold : Rs 12,800.
