PM sanctions Rs 2 lakh for Manjunath
New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has sanctioned an assistance of Rs two lakh from the Prime Minister's National Relief Fund to Mr Manjunath Kalmani, a paralysed techie hospitalized in the Safdarjung Hospital.
A senior officer of the Prime Minister's Office visited Mr Manjunath in the hospital today and handed over the cheque to the hospital authorities for his treatment.
The Prime Minister has extended his best wishes to Mr Kalmani, who was sent back a few days ago from the United States where he had met with a road accident in May 2002, and his family. The victim is paralysed down his neck after the accident.
