One dead, four injured in road accident

Shimla, Mar 11 (UNI) One person was killed and four others seriously injured when their car fell into a gorge near Theog in the district today.

The vehicle, which was on its way to Kotkhai from here met with an accident at Nagal Devi, near Theog, about 34 km from here, the police told UNI here.

It said the seriously injured had been admitted to the Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital (IGMC) here where the doctors described their condition critical.

The deceased had been identified as Pramod, a resident of Kotkhai in Shimla district, it said and added that his body was handed over to his relatives after post-mortem examination.

The cause of the accident was, however, not immediately known, the police said.
