LS adjourned for 20 mts on law and order in states
New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) The Lok Sabha was adjourned for about 20 minutes till 1230 hrs today as the opposition NDA created an uproar over Mr Basudev Acharia (CPI-M) seeking to raise an issue relating to the law and order situation in some states.
Opposition MPs were on their feet objecting to Mr Acharia's observations even as Speaker Somnath Chatterjee wondered how he could allow a matter relating to the states to be discussed in the House.
Mr Acharia started with the attack on the CPI(M) headquarters here on Sunday, but his subsequent observations were lost in the din. Even Left party members were on their feet to counter the noise made by the BJP and its allies.
Sensing the mood, the Speaker adjourned the House.
