JDP hands over memorandum to Governor
Ranchi, Mar 11 (UNI) Demanding ST status for the tea-tribes of Assam and other states, a delegation, led by Jharkhand Disom Party(JDP) leader Salkhan Murmu today handed over a memorandum to Jharkhand Governor Syed Sibtey Razi.
The delegation, comprising leaders from West Bengal, Assam and Orissa staged dharna at the state capital.
The memorandum also included demand for a CBI inquiry into the incident, which occurred in Guwahati on November 24, last year.
