Dy CM ready for discussion on police-builder nexus

Mumbai, Mar 11 (UNI) Maharashtra deputy chief minister R R patil today said that the government is ready to have a detailed dscussion in the council over police-builder nexus which yesterday led to the suspension of 13 police officers including the DIG Bipin Bihari.

The issue was raised by Vinod Tawade (BJP) and others who demanded that the discussion should be held on this issue under article 289.

Refusing to have a discussion under 289, Mr Patil said that the government is ready to take up this issue in the house in any other format and it could be decided in business advisory comittee as and when to take up the same.
