DDA to denotify unauth colonies, villages falling under its area
New Delhi, Mar 11 (UNI) The Delhi Development Authority today decided to denotify unauthorised colonies, villages and habitations, village abadi extensions, falling under the Development Area of the DDA to facilitate providing of civic services through the Government of the National Capital Territory of Delhi (GNCTD).
The decision was taken by the DDA at its meeting held at Raj Niwas.
Several unauthorised colonies exist on the Development Area land of the DDA and are not being provided civic amenities. To facilitate providing civic services as is being provided by the MCD to other unauthorised colonies, these areas will be denotified.
Among other decisions taken by the DDA in the meeting were proposing change of landuse for some pockets for creating facility of cremation ground in Harkesh Nagar and also public and semi-public facilities at Vasant Kunj.
Also, regarding allotment of shops to reserved categories, it had been felt that these categories were not able to take bigger shops due to financial constraints. Therefore, it was decided by the Authority that categorisation as per size of shop will be done and applicants of reserve category will have the option to opt for size as per their paying capacity.
