Dasmunsi introduces Prasar Bharati amendment Bill in LS

New Delhi, Mar 10 (UNI) Information and Broadcasting Minister Priya Ranjan Dasmunsi today introduced in the Lok Sabha a Bill that seeks to restrict the term of the Prasar Bharati Chairman and part-time members to three years or until the age of 70.

The Prasar Bharati(Broadcasting Corporation of India) Amendment Bill, 2008 also seeks to provide that the Executive Member shall be a whole-time member and hold office for five years or until the age of 65.
