BMW launches high-tech showroom
Chennai, Mar 11 (UNI) Automobile major, BMW today launched its BMW M3 high-tech showroom, integrated with an after sales service facility featuring service bays and spare parts inventory.
Company President Peter Kronschnabi told newspersons that the design of the showroom was based on two concepts - 'Reception at the Car' and 'Urban Street Display'. ''The facility would be equipped to service approximately 20 cars per day,'' he added.
The company would target to sell minimum 150 cars per year from this showroom.
''The cars produced at the BMW plant here have the customary premimum quality of BMW,'' he said, adding ''final inspections and operational tests ensure that the quality of each vehicle produced is manufactured to the specified BMW quality.'' He said in medium term, BMW India would employ around 200 to 600 people.
''Additional jobs will be created in the dealer and service networks,'' he added.
Mr Peter also disclosed that the company would establish two more dealership in Kochi, Ahmedabad and Kolkata.
