Action plan for six pilgrimage centres in Gujarat
Gandhinagar, Mar 11 (UNI) The Gujarat government has prepared an action plan for development of six pilgrimage centres in the state.
This was announced in the Assembly today. The State Government has spent Rs 1,500 crore to complete 307 development works in different pilgrimage centres of the state, according to Tourism Ministry sources.
The Tourism Ministry has identified Somnath and Girnar, famous pilgrimage places in Saurashtra as Sacred pilgrimage centres.
The government has also taken up renovation and development works at prominent temples of the state including Ambaji, Somnath and Shamalaji, the sources said.
