50pct Brit couples lie to each other over money

London, Mar 11 : A new survey has revealed that 50 percent of Brit couples lie to each other at least once a week, especially when it comes to money matters.

The poll by Wilkinson Sword found that couples also lie to each other when they have to comment on the meal cooked by their partner.

It was also found that couples bluff when it comes to appreciating their partner's dodgy outfit. Denying breaking something and claiming to be in a meeting when at pub are other fibs that most couples tell each other.

The poll also found that Welsh men are most likely to wear their partner's undies but not admit to it.

"People lie with surprising regularity," The Sun quoted Manchester University psychologist Geoff Beattie, as saying.

The list of top five fibs:

1 Secrecy about money

2 Saying a duff meal was great

3 Telling your partner a dodgy outfit looks ace

4 Denying breaking something

5 Claiming to be in a meeting when at pub ANI
