Uttar Pradesh: 2 criminals shot dead in encounter

Kaushambi, Mar 11: Two notorious criminals were gunned down in a police encounter in the Western Shareera area here. Acting on information, police laid trap near Paderai village late last night, police sources said today.

The criminals, however, opened fire on the police. In the ensuing encounter, Badai Lodhi and Gulab Kunjda were shot dead, while their six aides managed to escape.

A Pistol, A knife and cartridges were seized from their possession. The duo were facing several charges against them, and Gulab was in the top ten criminals list here, police added.
