133 cross border at Chakkan-da-Bagh in Poonch
Jammu, Mar 11 (UNI) A total of 133 passengers from both sides of the borders, crossed sides from Chakkan-da-Bagh on Line of Control (LOC) in Poonch district of Jammu and Kashmir, an official spokesman here said.
''LoC point was thrown open yesterday morning and a 81 persons came to this side from the Pakistan occupied Kashmir (POK), out of which 36 were the Indian returnees while 45 were fresh residents of PoK, who came to this side to meet their relatives,'' he said.
However, 52 people, who crossed into to PoK included 25 new residents of Jammu and Kashmir and 27 were PoK returnees, who stayed here.
The border point was closed in the evening while Matloob Khan GM DIC Poonch and Ghulam Rasool Ganai from the Indian side and Guftar Choudhary AC(R) and Parvez Yaqoob designated authority Hazira PoK were facilitating the passengers at the LoC point, an official said.
