1 killed, 8 other injured in tempo accident
Mumbai, Mar 11 (UNI) One person was killed and eight others injured when a tyre of tempo burst resulting in the collision of the vehicle with an electric pole at Phirozshah Bridge, Vikroli here .
A group of band party was on their way to attend a function in the tempo from Thane yesterday. At around 1530 hours, near the Phirozshah bridge, tyre of tempo burst. The driver lost the control over vehicle and collided with a roadside electric pole, police said here today.
Surendra alias Balu Pundalik Kamble (36) died on the spot, while, eight others suffered injuries.
Injured people were admitted to Sion Hospital, sources said.
