Bollywood on backfoot, over support to MNS chief

Mumbai, March 08, 2008 : Bollywood is on the backfoot over its support to MNS chief Raj Thackaray, a couple of days after some prominent actors signed a petition against the gag order imposed on Thackeray by the Mumbai police.

Now they have sought to distance themselves and have clarified that they are not backing Raj Thackarey's anti-migrant politics or the violence unleashed by MNS workers on Mumbai's streets. Actor Salman Khan also distanced himself from Raj Thackery stating that he had nothing to do with with thackeray's politics.
