Two hard-core extremists arrested in Gaya

Gaya, Mar 10 (UNI) Two hard-core extremists associated with proscribed CPI (Maoists) were arrested at Itahri village under Mohanpur police station area in the district today.

District police superintendent Amit Kumar Jain said here that acting on a tip-off, a team of local police raided a hide-out at Itahri village and arrested one Karu Yadav, who was stated to be sub-jonal commander of the outlawed organisation in the area.

Later, on the basis of clue provided by Karu, police also arrested one Janardan Das from Ramnagar village under same police station area in Gaya district.

''Two rifles and some live cartridges were recovered from the residence of Janardan Das during the search operation,'' police added.
