Oppn demands discussion over firing by minister's son
Bhopal, Mar 10 (UNI) The main Opposition Congress in the Madhya Pradesh Assembly today demanded discussion over the incident of firing in air in front of house of its leader by Revenue Minister Kamal Patel's son.
After the Question Hour, Mr Indrajeet Kumar (Cong) alleged that Mr Patel's son had opened fire in front of Congress leader Rajendra Patel's house following an altercation between them.
He said an adjournment motion had been given in this regard and demanded discussion over it.
Speaker Ishwardas Rohani said he would seriously consider the issue and then take a decision.
Meanwhile, Mr Sajjan Singh Verma (Cong) raised the issue of beating up of a district collector. Other opposition members wanted to speak something but were not permitted by the Speaker.
A case has been registered against Mr Patel's son and some other people in connection with the firing incident.
Sehore Collector and BJP MP Rampal Singh's driver had entered into a scuffle following an argument. Later, police thrashed the driver but no case was registered.
