New collector for Tamil Nadua district

Ariyalur (Tamil Nadu), Mar 10: R Sudalaikannan (47) took over as the Collector of Ariyalur District here yesterday. He replaces Mr Xavier Chrisso Nayagam who has been posted as the Joint Secretary, Animal Husbandry Department.

Before this assignment, Mr Sudalaikannan served as Deputy Secretary, Industries Department. Later, Mr Sudalaikannan told newsmen he would accord priority to improving economic conditions of the poor, especially labourers and farmers.
