Kasara Ghat section to remain close tomorrow
Nashik, Mar 10 (UNI) The Kasara Ghat stretch on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway No 3 will remain close tomorrow for all vehicular traffic for nearly 12 hours.
According to sources, the route will be closed from 0400 hrs to 1600 hrs for removal of a huge trailer that has stuck in the ghat area since May 10, 2007. The trailer is carrying some heavy machinery to Sipat in Chhattisgarh. Therefore, the highway will remain closed for the small, medium and heavy vehicular traffic during the period.
Though the actual time required for this herculean task is of 6 hours, total clearance will need at least 12 hours, sources said.
During the period, small vehicles can use a diversion from Ghatandevi (near Hotel Manas) to Jawhar Phata, they added.
