ISRO to launch Edusat in Orissa.

Bhubaneswar, Mar 10 (UNI)Orissa government will soon sign an agreement with Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)to launch Edusat to impart online teaching in technical institutions.

Director Industry Srikant Paikray said here today that officials of the ISRO would be coming here next week to sign the agreement with the Orissa government The teaching through educate would start from the next educational session. An institutions has to spend Rs 2.5 lakh for creating the infrastructure to provide online teaching to its students.Similarly, a student will have to pay a very nominal fee to get the benefit.

Mr Paikray said at least ten Polytechnics and two Industrial Training institutes have installed the equipment to impart online teaching through Edusat to their students.

Mr Paikray said a student can be benefited by interacting with the teacher and gets his doubt clear on line, he said.
