Election symbols distributed to the parties
Kathmandu, Mar 10 (UNI) The Election Commission has distributed symbols to all political parties including the independents who are contesting the Constituent Assembly elections scheduled for April 10.
The political parties have got the symbols as they had received while registering the party at the Commission, while independent candidates got symbols according to their choice, Commission's spokesperson Laxman Bhattarai said.
The details of the election symbol distribution is yet to be received, although the commission has distributed the symbols in all 240 electoral constituencies, Bhattarai said.
Meanwhile, political parties have intensified the campaign for the election across the nation.
There were no reports of major clash among the parties during the course of election publicity campaign.
Nepal is holding the election to the Constituent Assembly for the first time after a new democratic constitution abolished the monarchy that ruled the country for nearly 240 years.
