UNPA supports ST status for Gujjars

Jaipur, Mar 9 (UNI) The United National Progressive Alliance(UNPA) has categorically supported Gujjar community's demand for ST status.

Talking to newspersons here today UNPA Chairman and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav said Gujjars did deserve the reservation and other communities like Meena should accommodate their justified demand.

He also counselled Meena and Gujjar communities to maintain social harmony and brotherhood and accommodate to each others aspirations.

Mr Yadav charged that both the BJP and the Congress and played negative role to bring these communities in a clashing position.
