Security tightened in CPI(M), BJP offices

Thiruvananthapuram, Mar 9 (UNI) Heavy security has been provided to the CPI(M) and the BJP/RSS offices across Kerala in the wake of the attack an the AK Gopalan Bhawan, the national CPI(M) headquarters in Delhi, allegedly by the RSS workers.

Police personnel were deployed at the AKG centre, the CPI(M) State headquarters, and the RSS office here, police sources said.

Security had been tightened on the orders of State Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan, they added.

Meanwhile, the Democratic Youth Federation of India, the youth wing of the CPI(M), staged a protest march to the BJP office here.

A report from Kottayam said the CPI(M) activists staged a demonstration at the Collectorate in protest against the attack on AKG Bhavan.
