Punjab youth Cong to hold protests against government
Chandigarh, Mar 9 (UNI) The Punjab Youth Congress today announced plans to hold district level dharnas/demonstrations throughout the state from March 14, to highlight the failure of the Badal government to fulfill any of the grandiose promises made by the SAD-BJP to the people at the time of the last state assembly elections.
In a statement here today, Youth Congress chief Vijay Inder Singla said in that during the one year of the SAD-BJP not a single promise made to the people was fulfilled. In this context he refered to the power crisis gripping the state.
Mr Singla said that the people of Punjab are not long willing to be fooled any longer by false promises. The first dharna will be staged at Patiala on March 14, followed by the second at Amritsar on March 21. Similarly, dharnas will be staged subsequently at other district headquarters in accordance with the programme to be announced later.
