North Indian protestors burn Lalu's effigy in Thane
Thane, Mar 9 (UNI) A group of north Indians burnt an effigy of Railway Minister Lalu Prasad here today for making provocative speeches against the leaders of Maharashtra.
The group, led by one Dalbuir Singh Sinar of the Uttar Bharatiya Saurakshan Samiti, burnt Mr Prasad's effigy in Srinagar locality in protest against the provocative speeches made by north Indian leaders against the leaders of Maharashtra.
According to the Samiti leaders, such speeches pollute the atmosphere here, while the north Indians have been living cordially in the state.
An offence has been registered by the Srinagar police station against the protestors but no arrest was made in this connection, police said.
