No police lapses in curbing violence: HM
Kannur Mar 8 (UNI) Kerala Home Minister Kodiyeri Balakrishnan today denied any 'lapses' on the part of police in containing political murders and violence between CPI(M) and BJP/RSS activists in the district.
Speaking at a press conference here tonight, he requested the media to 'cooperate' with the government and police in putting an end to the violence.
He said the government would not allow anyone to take law in their hands.
He said the government would grant additional allowances to police personnel, who work in enforcing law and order in the district. The government would work out ways to restore peace in politically-volatile Thalassery, he added.
